“Right at the entrance to the exhibition palace on Porte de Versailles 1966, you will find the Pininfarina stand and one of the most amazing cars in this salon: a Ferrari 365 P Berlinetta with a 4.4-liter mid-engine, which is designed as a three-seater with central steering. For three quarters of a century, the driver was placed on the left or right side, and it was so long that it became a matter of course. Until the intelligent Dr.-Ing. Sergio Pininfarina, who of course drives a Ferrari himself, came up with the idea of doing it differently. After some consideration, his solution with a slightly advanced center seat for the driver has it all.

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Prototype Pininfarina 1969 Chassis 12925

Limitation: 300 pieces

This Ferrari Daytona is a one-off coupe constructed on chassis 12925. It was displayed at the 1969 Paris Salon. The unique special features on this Daytona are the brushed stainless steel rollbar, removable zip-out plastic rear window, wrap-around front and rear bumpers and an elongated rear end. It may look like a convertible with a hard top, but it actually is a real coupe.

After the Paris show it was sold by Pininfarina to M. G. Crepaldi in Milan who re-sold it to first private owner, Mr. Rissi in Milan. He had his name engraved on a small plaque attached to the right rear of the car, below the taillights. Rissi traded it back to Crepaldi in 1978 who re-sold it to Matsuda-san in Japan. In 2003 the car went to Mr. Jean Guikas in Marseille, France.
