Description
There aren't many coach bodies that come from Belgium. This body by Umberto de Mola is one of them. In 1939/1940 he originally built this body on an Alfa Romeo 6C-1750 with folding headlights. The goal was to build the most modern car of its time. Many say that it succeeded! During World War II, the car was brought to Tunisia, where it was bought by an American soldier and brought to America. Instead of replacing the 6C-1750 chassis with an identical chassis, the de Mola body was built on a 6C-2500 SS chassis in 1948. The car still exists today. It is still unimaginable that this beautiful body comes from 1939. She looks like she was way ahead of her time.
