The Ford Torino was a mid-range car produced by the automaker Ford in three series for the North American market from 1968 to 1976. The better-equipped models in the series were called Gran Torino and Gran Torino Brougham. They were large, heavy cars that were retrospectively counted among the most uneconomical production vehicles of the 1970s. The cars gained worldwide fame through the American television series Starsky & Hutch.
