Delahaye 135M by Chapron 1947

After Delage was bought in 1935, Delahaye brought the 135 on the market. The company was based in Paris, in the 13th arrondissement, famous for Gobelins.
This model shows the cabriolet "Grand-Luxe" bodied by Chapron. This superb example was shown in the 1947 Geneva Motor Show in 1947.
Henri Albert Maurice Chapron was a French entrepreneur who founded the named after him body shop Ateliers Henri Chapron (short: Chapron) and operated until his death (1978). Chapron was known in the 1960s, especially through its convertible, coupe and special sedan versions of the Citroën DS, which today are sought-after classics. Henri Chapron is considered one of the last major automobile coaches in France.
