The Mercedes-Benz W 11, known as the 10/50 PS type Stuttgart 260, appeared in 1929 as a derivative of the Stuttgart 200 model with its chassis and body, but with a more powerful engine. For a long time the “Stuttgart” type was the most important automobile offered by Daimler-Benz AG. It was not replaced by the Mercedes-Benz W 21 until 1933.
