A very unknown story: Who would have known that Delahaye also built buses?

This Delahaye 163 coach was dressed by the industrial bodybuilder Duffau in Aureilhan on the extra-long chassis. Its roof is largely openable, the rest being occupied by a gallery (luggage compartment closed at the rear). It offers 31 + 1 seats, chrome backrests and armrests, seats covered with imitation leather. The interior walls are in hardboard and the floor is covered with a rubber mat.The 32-seater Delahaye 163 D car is powered by a 4-cylinder Panhard Diesel engine. It is built on the 163 Extra-long chassis, with a 4.70 m wheelbase. The total length of the vehicle is 8.50 m.

The 1930s were the Delahaye's heyday. After the war, Delahaye was integrated into the Groupe Français de l'Automobil (GFA).  In 1954, Delahaye was taken over by Hotchkiss, who shut down car production in order to produce trucks under the name Hotchkiss-Delahaye for a few months until the name Delahaye was dropped completely in 1956.
