This Lloyd set at Pentecost 1954 in the French Monthéry not less than 14 international class records - including 112.12 km / h over 72 hours! Even the famous 24-hour "Bol d'Or" had to be started a few hours later in 1954 because of the record run. At that time the drivers were the Lloyd dealer and builder Karl-Hans Schäufele, his sales manager Hubertus Ricker and racing driver Adolf Brudes. Incidentally, the name was borrowed from Bremen's most famous landmark, Roland, on the market square in Bremen.
