The Continental Mark III was a luxury vehicle. It was the most expensive model from the Lincoln brand (founded in 1917). Its 1968 price was $ 6,585, about $ 500 above Lincoln's standard models; it was almost as expensive as a Cadillac Eldorado. With extensive equipment and V8 power, the Lincoln Continental Mark III entered the stage of American luxury automobiles in 1968. 79,381 units were built from 1968 to 1971. In 1971 the production of the Continental Mark III was stopped again.
