In addition to the Grand Prix races, Mercedes-Benz also uses the Silver Arrows for speed records. After the first record runs of the W 25 at the end of 1934, a completely new record car was created in 1936. He receives a V12 engine with 5.7-liter displacement, which is out of the question for use in Grand Prix racing because of the regulatory-related weight restriction. Compared to the row-eight cylinder of the Grand Prix racing car, it has an additional output of around 60 kW (80 hp).

This kit shows Caracciola's test car before setting two new class records over five miles and ten kilometers with the right speed car.
