The Kirowwerk is a Russian engineering group based in Saint Petersburg. After the October Revolution, the plant was renamed in Sawod Krasny Putilowez (Red Putilow plant) and became known for the production of the first Soviet tractors. The Fordson-Putilowez based on the US Fordson Model F. Between 1933 and 1934, the company manufactured automobiles. The brand name was L 1. The sedan could accommodate six people and was similar to a model of Buick. An eight-cylinder engine with 5750 cc and 105 hp power drove the vehicle. The wheelbase was 338 cm. The engine was later used in the sedan ZIS 101.
