The AWZ P 70 from Zwickau from 1955 is a predecessor of the GDR car Trabant, which was designed to promote mass motorisation in East Germany.

In spring 1956, the P 70 estate was launched in addition to the saloon. The designation P 70 stands for passenger cars with an engine capacity of 700 cm³.

The P 70 Coupé with its sheet steel body and sporty design was presented for the first time at the Leipzig Spring Fair in 1957.

The Wartburg 311 was a passenger car from the Eisenach car factory and was also offered as a 311/5 camping saloon with a folding roof.

The abbreviation IFA stands for ‘Industrieverband Fahrzeugbau’, an association of vehicle construction companies in the GDR.

Not every design object makes it into series production. Not even this one! There was only one non-drivable show car of it.
