Imperial was the prestige brand of the US automobile company Chrysler. The name Imperial had already been used as a model name for Chrysler's most expensive series before and shortly after the Second World War. At that time the vehicles were called Chrysler Imperial. All Imperial series were largely identical externally and technically. They differed only by the equipment and in individual years also by styling details, in the case of the LeBaron above all by an independent shape of the roof in the area of the C-pillar.
• The Imperial Custom was the entry-level model.
• The middle series was called the Imperial Crown.
• The top version received the designation Imperial LeBaron.
