In addition to its state-supporting use as a representative vehicle, international, well-known owners from politics, business, high nobility and show business also called a Mercedes-Benz 600 their own. These included personalities such as Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Emperor Hirohito, Aristote-les Onassis, Elvis Presley, the "King of Rock'n Roll", or John Lennon, to name just a few. The stylish vehicle of the absolute upper class was used worldwide and was the epitome of the highest perfection, high-end technology, comfort, exclusivity and uniqueness. The Pullman variant was and is still the largest passenger car of the post-war period.

Elvis Presley has bought and sold around 200 cars in his life, most of which he enjoyed driving himself. However, some were chauffeur-driven show pieces for the times when the king of rock ’n’ roll required a gentler ride.

The color combination of this CMC model is relatively subtle. Discreet, if you consider that the first owner of the original vehicle from 1969, the "King of Rock'n Roll", liked to have his cars colorful too. In the original of this model there was a TV receiver in the passenger compartment, recognizable by the large antenna on the trunk lid.
