All Dymaxion ideas come from Richard Buckminster Fuller, an American architect, utopian and jack of all trades, who is still famous for his geodesic spherical structures. The Dymaxion car was six meters long and stood on only three wheels - the two front wheels brought the power to the road, with the single rear wheel steered. The movement patterns of fish and birds served as a model. The power was generated by a 86 hp Ford engine in the rear. Fuller's Dymaxion was to transport eleven passengers at up to 190 km / h and not consume eight liters of gasoline. The unusual chassis architecture also made it possible to turn the vehicle 180 degrees practically on the spot. In the long term, according to Fuller's ideas, the Dymaxion should even learn to fly.
